"Extensions of Time in Construction Contracts
Dealing with Delay and Disruption"
Speakers: Dr. John Keane & Anthony Caletka.
Dr John Keane and Anthony Caletka, directors of Keane Associates, will
provide some practical guidance and insight on dealing with delay and
disruption from the contracting parties’ and their advisers’ point of view.
Both John and Anthony have considerable experience in this area of dispute
resolution in all areas of construction and process activity both in the UK
and overseas. Their roles include forensic analysis, expert witness work
lecturing and writing on this subject.
The Society of Construction Law’s “Protocol for determining Extensions of
Time and Compensation for Delay and Disruption” has aroused an interesting
debate within the Construction Industry. Anthony Caletka was a member of the
SCL’s Protocol Drafting Committee and will expand on the Protocol’s
potential for dealing with extension of time scenarios. Members from other professional
bodies are welcome.
